Disaster Recovery at Experian - The Chile Earthquake

Experian utilizes enterprise content management to implement shared service centers in three global theaters of operations: The America’s, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and Asia Pacific. This provides efficiencies, economy of scale, reduces operating costs and provides standardization for the global enterprise. About 6 weeks after Experian launched their global system, San Tiago, Chili was hit with an 8.9 earthquake, taking out one of their shared service centers. This case-study presentation will look at this extensive ECM solution, the value it brings Experian and explore how it provided critical disaster recovery during a real world circumstance.
